Capacity building

Getting better at the things you'd rather do yourself

Capacity building is the slow, practical part: doing a thing alongside someone until you don't need them for it. It works best when it's aimed at something you want to be able to do.

What it covers

Practical, patient work on the skills that grow independence, at whatever pace suits. Cooking a meal from start to finish, managing a budget, catching public transport, making an appointment, handling the things that used to need someone else. We work alongside your allied health team so what you practise with us lines up with your plan goals.

01

Skills with a point to them

Cooking a meal from start to finish. Managing a budget. Catching transport. Making your own appointment. Handling the things that used to need someone else to do them. We work at whatever pace suits and we don't rush it.

02

Lined up with your allied health team

We work alongside your occupational therapist and other clinicians so what you practise with us matches what they're working on. When goals come through your coordinator, they go to the workers who are with you, not into a folder.

03

Reporting your team can use

We compile progress from shift notes for the OTs and coordinators who need it. Evidence of what has actually changed, from the people who were there.

Where we work

Available across a two-hour radius of Dalby

We are based in Dalby and cover roughly a two-hour radius, which takes in a lot of country other providers will not travel to.
