Our story
Built by someone who had seen support done the wrong way
Coreability began with a simple conviction: that people living with disability deserve support from a team who genuinely cares, and workers who are looked after too.
Before Coreability, Alison Welke-Towner spent 20 years in regional management with an apprenticeships and traineeships organisation, then five years in senior management in disability employment. She knows recruitment, people and standards inside out.
When she moved into disability support, she took a role helping fix another provider. What she found there sat completely against her work ethic: a business that had lost sight of the people it was meant to serve, and the staff it depended on. She lasted four months.
Her friend of 30 years, Warwick, put it plainly: why are you putting up with that? Start your own. A few days later, Coreability was born, built to be the opposite of what she had just walked away from.

The name
Why we're called Coreability
“At everyone's core, they have the ability to grow, perform and be independent.”
That belief runs through everything we do. Our job is to find the ability already there, and build the support around it so people can do more of what matters to them.
Our mission
Empowering Every Step, Enabling You in Every Way
Our mission is to empower and enrich the lives of people living with disability, in an environment of inclusion, respect and personal growth.
We are here to build a community where everyone is valued, supported and empowered. Four pillars hold that up.
Personalised Care & Empowerment
Alison meets every person before their support starts, then matches them to workers who genuinely fit. Support is built around what you want to do, not around a roster.
Quality & Excellence in Service
Experienced local workers, many from nursing and aged care, with a qualified nurse as clinical lead. We turn up when we say we will, and we very rarely cancel.
Collaboration & Community Integration
We work with families, support coordinators and allied health teams, and we get people out into the community they actually live in rather than keeping support behind closed doors.
Personal Development & Support for our Staff
The reason Coreability exists. Workers who are looked after, trained and backed stay, and the people they support keep the faces they know.

The people behind it
A hands-on, local team
Alison still knows every participant personally and meets each one before their support begins. She leads a team of experienced local workers, many from nursing and aged care backgrounds, including a qualified nurse as clinical lead.
Three years on, most of the people who started with us are still here. We have a good name in Dalby, and we intend to keep it, one relationship at a time.
Let's find the right fit
Whether you're looking for support for yourself or someone you love, or you're referring someone who deserves better, we'd love to hear from you. A real person answers.
